The Festival is a non-adjudicated, non-competitive festival to highlight the skills and abilities of youth. Gideon's first solo violin performance accompanied on piano by his teacher. Gideon hopes to play the saxophone one day.
Although the music is required at the Festival, Gideon had his two selections memorized. He has enjoyed piano lessons since January!
Peter finds piano to be his preferred instrument. Here he played "Shoe Shinin Blues" with his teacher and also performed solo "Guitar Rock" to a swing rhythm.
Peter is developing his repetoire of violin pieces. Following the Festival he learned a piece by ear that another violin student had performed at the Festival.
