Larvae to Butterfly -May/June

Two larvae in container with sufficient food for 7-10 days before they spin their cocoon. Observation and speculation flew out of the boys.
After approximately 10 days in cocoon and many lessons of patience, the Painted Lady Butterflies began to emerge! What beautiful colours! Here one has emerged, another remains in the cocoon and another emerged many days later.
Three have emerged - one on pink flowers, one on twigs and one just above that one, with closed wings. At times they would flap their wings repeatedly without flying about the container. After Aunt Joyce visited we released them with another family who had also raised some.
What an amazing Creator to design caterpillars with everything in them to develop into beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies! What an awesome One we serve!
