July 4th Castle under attack!

The lord and lady have possession of the castle, however it is under attack!

Knight Peter attacking the lentel to his world. The armour required was pry bar and hammer!

What evolved as described by knight Gideon "Peter you have camouflage carpet!" Knight Peter's response "No, it's like Mrs. Taylor's carpet in her basement!"

Likely the previous lord's princesses stored their ball gowns amidst the roses in this closet. Immediately the knights were on the attack of the west fortess of this unit.

The lady of the manor finds this area to be like the residence of a mouse in a research lab ("maze") and has discussed with the lord of the manor the design of a castle kitchen.

Attack on day 2 to follow.

July 2nd - Beautiful beach day!

The lord and lady of the manor along with the two knights journeyed a mere twenty minutes to Lake Kootenay for mid-day relaxation before the emminent castle attack. The knights experienced life at the lake in an unusual fashion.

The knights labouring as peasantry.

Knight Gideon refreshing himself after logging.

Knight Peter on the "rock" at Kootenay Lake. The lord of the manor was manipulated by the knight to jump off! Certainly the lord must have courage in front of his knights!

The lord and lady enjoyed the beauty of this Lake and its snow topped mountains!

2 Nights before the travels...

Two knights set to say goodbye to the neighbours.

Gideon looks ready for a ride on Terry's motorcycle!

Cherished neighbours joined in saying goodbye to our family.
We experienced a sweet time of fellowship and wonderful food. We miss you all!

Sam & Elia, our dear next-door neighbours.
Remember to let the sun go down before washing your car (ha,ha).

Frank & Aida & Cecilia (who planned the party with Elia).

Eric, one of the many hockey players in
the court who taught the two Knights
how to joust, I mean play street hockey!

Keith & Nancy, newest to the Court and talented renovators! Thanks to their dogs, Dixie & Eric,
Albert walked more last year.
Terry (left) "the motorcycle guy" according to Gideon; Darryl (center), the very handy, across-the-Court mechanic when a novice (on the right) is at work.

city employees!)

Trip to B.C. Highlights

Preparing to leave...

Honestly, the truck contains three families' belongings not just ours -we had a very successful garage sale prior to anything being loaded on this moving truck!

The focus of the trip was to get to our new home town so the sight seeing was limited to most impressive sights. Here are some the boys enjoyed and a few historical sites.

An amazing hotel pool with wading pool, sprays, and huge waterslide that daddy enjoyed.

The Canadian and Saskatchewan flags - the home province of our dear friend, Ruby.

Upon seeing the mountains of B.C. from the Lethbridge, AB area, Peter and Gideon composed their song "B.C. yeah! B.C. yeah!...." quite entertaining.

Gideon on his electric guitar.

Not far from Calgary, Alberta, and just east of the Crowsnest Pass, lies the small, bustling town of Frank, Alberta, nestled on the floor of a deeply-glaciated valley. Looming menacingly nearby is Turtle Mountain. Also nearby is a scene of a destruction of such magnitude that it has never been equalled!
In the early morning hours of April 29, 1903, Turtle Mountain collapsed, resulting in the greatest landslide in North American history. In 100 seconds: at least 76 people were buried alive under tons of massive limestone boulders; three-quarters of the homes in Frank were crushed like balsa wood; over a mile of the Canadian Pacific Railroad was completely destroyed; and a river became a lake.
Yet, few people have ever heard about it. Here is a picture we captured of it.

And around the mountain sides.......the World's largest dump truck!
Yes, David and Aaron and Jono and Joby...it's true....it's really, really HUGE! Notice Peter in the wheel and how short his daddy looks beside it!

Those were the highlights of the trip...next blog...renovations!

Introduction to Two Knights

Welcome to the Tales of Two Knights blog spot.

Knight Peter's art entry for Elementary Art! Exhibit, Spring'07.

Knight Gideon armed for battle.

The lord and lady of the manor would like to keep you up to date on the two Knights who live at the castle at their lord's expense!

The lord and lady at a recent celebration of the lady's parents 50th wedding anniversary.

Knights attired for the anniversary party.

The lady's parents, Dennis and Kay,
on their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

The newly acquired castle . We have mountain views from all directions. I'll send more pictures next time.

Prior to the recent move westwardly, Knight Peter was in a battle against himself and a fellow knight, David at a track and field day.

Prior to our move, we enjoyed a beautiful day on Lake Ontario with friends, Jess & Renae. We had a great time together. Peter was delighted that we launched the boat at the Queenston boat launch on the Niagara River, the same river that the American soldiers came up during the War of 1812 to fight against Sir Isaac Brock and his men. The monument in the distance is a statue of Sir Isaac Brock. Two weeks earlier we had the privilege of seeing the monument and Peter was imitating soldiers, running from tree to tree (see pictures below).

Further posts will indicate "castle" renovations and life and times of the lord and lady and knights. The castle is at peace but extremely busy at this time. A sincere hello to you all.
