Weekend trip and last days

Fri.Aug.24th -Ferry across Lake Kootenay to enjoy God's creation and relaxation with Lady Joan, Rocco and the knights. Lady Joan at the campsite with knights displaying travel exhaustion!

Gideon's typical photo pose with tongue sticking out!
Sat. Aug. 25 - took a 10km dirt logging road up, up, and up the mountain (30minutes!), then a one mile hike past mountain fed springs where we filled our water bottles, before arriving at the Caves opening. Lady Joan, Knight Peter and Lord Albert disappeared into this ominous hole for one hour of cave hiking! 45-65 degree temperatures required jackets and the darkness was dispersed by headlamps.

Aug. 26 (Sun) - Lord & Lady of the Manor and the two knights hiked beside Lake Kootenay to Fletcher Falls, a magnificent waterfall in a rain forest! On our return to the campsite we saw a rainbow over the lake! God is so good and displays His glory everywhere here and in the church where we worshipped his presence was felt and word faithfully preached.

Aug.27 (Mon) The knights convinced Lady Joan of the beauty to be had at the Falls and Lake Kootenay!

Knight Peter, Lady, and Knight Gideon across water to the cliff/spray side of Falls. We saw spawning salmon in the lower part of the falls near the lake.
Later that day, lord and knights getting off the trolley following a tour of a historic downtown.

Remaining days...

Aug.28, Knight Peter, the wise, adding carrots to the squash soup as directed by Lady Joan.

The knights provided musical accompaniment following the wonderful feast. Prince Rocco on the Lady of the Manor's lap.

Aug. 29th - the wonderful Lady Joan has exceptional baking and cooking abilities that she readily shared with the knights in residence. Following an enjoyable jaunt to a unique orchard where truffles, Turkish delight, and fresh fruit can be secured, the baking began amidst jousting and clashing in the kitchen.

When the lord of the manor has feasted on fresh stuffed salmon wonderfully prepared by Lady Joan and the two knights, he has ample energy to work on the demolition. However, one must be careful not to launch an attack on this lord's castle (unless its a reno)!

Aug.31 -last day at the castle, but no less one of royal measure - touring a vineyard, eating grapes and wine tasting right here in town!

We shared a feast with Lady Joan and Knight Peter entertained us by reading poetry from "Where The Sidewalk Ends". It was a delightful evening.
